The Pastoral Care Department focuses on the spiritual and sacred aspect of all residents. We provide nurturing in wellness, healing in times of illness and support in the process of dying. We firmly believe that pastoral care services are integral and essential in holistic health care.
The Pastoral Care Department is staffed by a part time priest chaplain, a part time pastoral minister and a full time pastoral care director. In carrying out the ministry of pastoral care, the following services are made available to all residents:
- daily Mass
- weekly Communion Service
- daily distribution of Communion in residents’ rooms by volunteer Eucharistic Ministers
- Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick yearly or as needed
- Sacrament of Reconciliation quarterly or when requested
- Yearly Mass of Remembrance for residents who have died during the past year
- Prayer Services on a regular basis
- daily Rosary
- pastoral visits
- pastoral presence to residents and families during the dying process
“The ultimate goal of our care is to give to those who are ill, through our care, a reason to hope.” – Cardinal Joseph Bamadin
