Sister of St. Joseph of Springfield Lorraine Villemaire has co-authored Labyrinth Reflections, a resource for facilitators and labyrinth walkers. Sr. Lorraine, along with Cathy Rigali, wrote the book in response to the rise in popularity of labyrinths over the last few years. The book provides information about the history and purpose of labyrinths, and includes dozens of themes to enable walkers to reflect on the experience from their own perspective.
Labyrinth Reflections is designed to help facilitate walks in schools, retreat centers, churches of all denominations, drug rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, businesses and other settings.
Sister Lorraine says the labyrinth is a simple meditative tool that provides time to calmly reflect on the presence of a Higher Spirit within common everyday experiences. “Through the gentle act of walking, people find guidance and direction in their lives,” she says.
She has published two other labyrinth books: The Labyrinth Experience: An Educator’s Resource and The Labyrinth Program: An Educational Model for Transformation.
Both Sister Lorraine and Rigali are Veriditas-certified labyrinth facilitators and are passionate about bringing labyrinth experiences to wider audiences.
