The Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield developed two low income senior housing facilities with funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and other sources.
The Mont Marie Senior Residence and the St. Joseph Residence are both situated on the scenic Mont Marie campus in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
“By providing safe and affordable housing to seniors, we continue our mission of service which is at the heart of who we are as Sisters of St. Joseph.” said former SSJ President Sister Mary Quinn.
The Mont Marie Senior Residence includes 49 apartments, community and exercise rooms, a library, meditation room and an interior courtyard with gardens, benches and gazebo.
The St. Joseph Residence includes 30 one-bedroom apartments, a learning center, arts and crafts room and large courtyard for recreation.
Both facilities are open to persons 62 years of age and older, who have a gross annual income that meets HUD guidelines. Supportive services are available.
